The situation of 27th July: summer, temperatures above 30 degrees and people on holidays. Not the best circumstances to organise a meet. But despite this, the tenth Dutch brony meet was a big success! There were fewer people than normal because of holidays, but still around 110 people came to this meet in Haarlem.
It was an awesome day filled with fun, music, games and we cannot forget the ponies. Highlights of the meet were the screencap-contest in which people had to guess the episode from a screenshot, the group picture and the traditional auction. A lot of beautiful pony items went under the hammer, including customs, paintings and sculpts. Smaller events were the traditional ponyhunt, the lottery, a karaoke set and a fiction contest.
There was only one thing that could have been a lot better: the weather. The day was very hot and around noon there was a heavy thunderstorm. Luckily the sky had cleared when it was time for the group picture. With this warm damp weather it was a blessing in disguise that there were fewer people this time.
I want to thank everybody who was there. The orga is already looking for the location for the next meet and I expect you to see you there!
